LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 is a sequel to the 2013 platform/action game LEGO Marvel Super Heroes developed by Traveller's Tales. This time we will have to face Kang the Conqueror who travels in time and causes turmoil in various eras across the history. Once again we will be able to play as several dozen Marvel characters, including Thor, Hulk, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Gameplay focuses on exploration (we will visit Wild West, ancient Egypt, 2099 New York, and other times and places as we play), combat, and solving simple puzzles and riddles. The game offers a single player campaign and a multiplayer mode (co-op and PvP arena battles) for up to four players.

Similar to previous LEGO-licensed productions from Traveller’s Tale, LEGO The Lord of the Rings offers a two-player cooperation in addition to single player.

Another installment in the popular series of third-person perspective action games that uses the license of the popular LEGO bricks franchise. This time, the title is available exclusively on Nintendo platforms. The game takes place in a modern metropolis and its main protagonist, Chase McCain, is an undercover cop. His task is to find, infiltrate, and stop criminal operations, which he does in-style, Hollywood style. Gameplay mechanics in LEGO City: Undercover combine the most important features of the LEGO series with elements typical of the Grand Theft Auto and Driver series. The overall feeling of the game is strongly inspired by classic action movies. The gameplay is a mix of various genres and during the game the player will participate in spectacular car chases, fly a police helicopter, chase after suspects on rooftops, and engage enemies in fist fights. The controls are simple and intuitive and the game provides us with many opportunities to employ the unique capabilities of Nintendo consoles and their controllers.

An asymmetric multiplayer action game, based on a classic horror movie storyline: a group of young people being harassed by a murderous psychopath. In Dead by Daylight, four players take on the roles of ordinary people trying to survive the encounter with a murderer, who's being controlled by the fifth player. You experience the game through a first-person perspective when you play as the villain, and from a third-person perspective when you play as a potential victim. To survive, the victims have to be clever, set traps, and sometimes simply run away. In fact, it is easier to survive when you're working together as a group, but nothing stops you from betraying the others and saving yourself at the cost of their lives. Dead by Daylight features several varied types of murderers, and the game's maps are generated procedurally.

The most significant feature are in-game moral choices the protagonist has to make, and whose consequences are often made visible only after some time. The developers created a highly interactive environment to give the players a good degree of freedom in puzzle solving. The Walking Dead: Season One catches the eye with its comic-like style, achieved with cel shading.

A sequel to a popular adventure game series created by the Belgian comic artist Benoit Sokal and Microids Studio, released over a decade after the second part. The story focuses on adventures of Kate Walker, a young lawyer, whose profession, in-born curiosity, and adventurousness get her entangled in a new mystery. Throughout the game, featuring classic point-and-click mechanics, you meet a whole menagerie of characters known from the previous installments in the series, as well as a cast of new heroes, including Still Life's protagonist and an FBI agent Victoria McPherson. Despite of using full 3D graphics that replaced hand drawn backgrounds, the game features the characteristic artwork style consistent with previous games.

Tunic is an isometric action-adventure game. We play as a anthropoid fox who explores a fantasy land full of treasures and monsters. The game's plot is told mostly through pictures and events as most of the lines are written in unintelligible, fictional language. In Tunic, we explore big, partially open maps, gather items, and fight many various enemies, including powerful bosses. Developers created an arcade combat system that allows us to execute various attacks and dodges. A stamina bar gives the game a tactical element (we use stamina for attacks and player-activated techniques). Even though Tunic does not have your typical character progression system, we can upgrade our hero's skills by getting better weapons and equipment. The game uses Unity engine and has eye-pleasing 3D visuals.

Biomutant is an open world RPG developed by Experiment 101 and published by THQ Nordic. The game takes the players to a peculiar world inhabited by humanoid animals – the universe combines post-apocalyptic science fiction elements with themes from Wuxia movies. Upon starting their adventure, the player has to create their character from scratch and develop them as the story progresses – one can choose multiple cyber-implants and mutations enabling their character to use certain special abilities. During the story campaign, one can explore the vast open world and complete consecutive tasks. The most important aspect of the game, however, is fighting numerous foes and making a good use of the arcade combat system, which allows the player to utilize various firearms and multiple types of melee weapons. Also important are the companion droids, which can be developed and modified by players. Moreover, the game features a crafting system. The exploration is even more entertaining due to the access to multiple means of transportation, such as jet skis, balloons, and flying saucers.

A continuation of a wacky 2D platform shooter, which in terms of mechanics resembles classic games such as Contra and the iconic Metal Slug series. Developed by OrangePixel, the game delivers even more chaos caused by countless bullets, enemies, and explosions making it impossible for a player to calmly analyze the situation on the screen. Luckily, throughout consecutive stages, there are numerous first-aid kits, which are able of healing even a nearly dead hero. Completing the main campaign is not very problematic, even though it has been divided into 56 separate levels. A much bigger challenge is posed by the Arcade mode, in which the player (with only one life) is tasked with covering the longest distance possible. The game features a style typical for other games developed by OrangePixel – simple, 2D visuals are not too elaborate, however, because of the dynamic gameplay, the player does not have much time to notice that.

A co-op sci-fi shooter game developed by Digital Extremes, the creators of The Darkness II, Pariah, and Dark Sector. It's a free-to-play game with optional microtransactions. The story takes place in the far future, in the far region of the galaxy, where the Tenno race is fighting the Grineer empire. The chances of both sides become more balanced when the Tenno discover the ancient battle armors, giving their owners extraordinary offensive capabilities. You play as one of the armored cybernetic ninja warriors, wielding both a sword and firearms. The combat sequences are spectacular and dynamic. The players can team up and fight together against the AI-controlled Grineer forces. Warframe allows for upgrading and modifying both armors and weapons, but to get the upgrades, you have to do some dangerous tasks. The missions are randomly generated, which additionally enhances the fun.

In terms of gameplay mechanics, the game is an isometric RPG with turn-based combat system, featuring complex classes and character progression system. As compared with the first game in the series, this one features noticeably improved graphics and many user interface enhancements. Furthermore, Matrix - the cyberspace that allows player to manipulate the real world - and its functionality have been thoroughly overhauled.

Another entry in the bestselling adventure game series, combining popular LEGO franchise with the classic universe of Star Wars. Its plot is largely based on the seventh part of the galactic saga, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and tells the story of completely new characters, though some familiar and iconic faces from previous movies appear in the background. There are also many exclusive plotlines that fill in the story gaps between Return of the Jedi and the latest movie in the series. The game mechanics remained mostly the same and the gameplay comes down to exploring, fighting enemies, and solving many logical puzzles, most of which require a creative use of the famous bricks. Nonetheless, some new features have been added, like allowing a multiply uses of single brick for different purposes and eye-catching blaster duels, during which we can make use of cover.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas is a science fiction action game developed by Ubisoft. The game takes place in a distant future in the titular Atlas planetary system, a place full of breathtaking alien worlds. This part of the galaxy is on the brink of destruction due to the invasion of the machines known as the Forgotten Legion. Our job is to stop the machines and defeat their leader, Grax. Starlink: Battle for Atlas is an action game where we control our own, self-made space ship. We use it to fight not only in space, but also in the atmosphere of many planets. The game’s world is open and dynamic, and changes under the influence of ours and our antagonists' decisions. What makes Starlink: Battle for Atlas a unique game is the fact that it is integrated with spaceship minifigures that are sold separately. Those minifigures are modular, which allows us to manually change their parts and pilots. These changes are instantly taken to the virtual world.

You assume the role of a young Pokémon trainer traveling through the world in search of new creatures you catch and train for Pokémon League battles. To be successful you need to earn eight Gym Badges by defeating the Battle Arenas’ leaders specialized in different elements. Then, you will have to prove your strength to the so-called Elite Four – the best trainers in Kalos. Game mechanics do not differ significantly from the previous installments. The core aspects of Pokemon X are still world exploration, chatting, and battling others with Pokémon of different abilities and techniques. Pokémon X and Y are the first in the series to utilize fully 3D graphics.

An indie FPP adventure game and the debut production of the American Campo Santo studio. The team comprises of veteran developers, previously working on such titles as The Walking Dead, Mark of the Ninja, BioShock 2, and Brutal Legend. The story of Firewatch takes place in an enormous forest in the American state of Wyoming, where our hero is trying to escape his day-to-day problems by becoming a ranger. This seemingly calm profession turns into an extremely complicated one, when various unexplainable events take place in the area that our character is charged with patrolling. The incidents are directly connected to our hero’s boss – Delilah, with whom we constantly keep in touch via radio. Building up relations with our superior is one of the key aspects of the game, as she is the only NPC featured in the production. The gameplay revolves exclusively around the single player mode; the popular Unity engine powers the game’s visuals.

During the game, you explore the open world, solve puzzles and fight enemies; the combat is arcade-like and requires you to use varied tactics. You also have to gather resources in order to prepare food and drink, which affect your abilities, just like pieces of equipment.

Fortnite: Battle Royale is a free-to-play multiplayer action game developed by Epic Games. The game is based on the battle royale formula and is similar to e.g. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. A hundred players are transported onto an island with almost nothing in their inventory. The player is tasked with finding or looting weapons, traps, and other pieces of gear. The game offers the players much leeway - one can run around and shoot as much as they like, nonetheless, one can also assume the stealthy approach, hide in an appropriate spot and eliminate the foes with a sniper rifle. Additionally, one can acquire more resources from buildings, trees, etc. and use them to construct numerous objects such as stairs, covers, and bridges. The only objective the player is tasked with is staying alive until the end of a match. This task is even more difficult due to the fact that the battlefield shrinks continuously. Inspired by John Woo's films, this spectacular top-down view shooter is Sweden's debut project by VRESKI studio. Players go to Hong Kong, where a fierce war of triad takes place. The gameplay is based on efficient bypassing of opponents' balls, which makes it easier to slow down time, and eliminating them with a wide range of weapons. The whole is complemented by a spectacular audiovisual setting and largely destructible environment.

Another installment in the popular third person perspective action series with RPG elements. Since the third game of the series, the franchise is being developed mostly on Nintendo handhelds. Similarly to its predecessors, Monster Hunter X was published by the Capcom company and developed under the supervision of Yasunori Ichinose – the director of the previous portable installments of the series. The game mechanics haven’t changed much, allowing the player to travel through a fantasy world and complete various missions that focus mostly on fighting monsters. A mountain village called Beruna is the player’s base of operations, but during the journey, the player will also find locations known from other Monster Hunter games. Worth mentioning, among the novelties added in the game, are four unique movement sets that are the equivalent of Skill Ranks from Monster Hunter Frontier G8. This system is supplemented by Hunting Techniques based on finishers from Monster Hunter Online.

An enhanced port of Mario Kart 8 developed for Nintendo Switch. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe reprises a lot of elements known from the two previous installments of the series, such as motorcycles, gliders, the ability to perform somersaults, or underwater racing. However, the developers introduced an interesting novelty – anti-gravity racing, in which we can stick to walls or even to the ceiling. The game doesn’t contain a story-driven single player campaign – we focus on taking part in a series of competitions in which we can race against AI-controlled opponents, as well as other players. Mario Kart 8 contains several multiplayer variants, including online as well as local game modes (split-screen, or a wireless mode for up to eight players). The new edition contains all of the content present in the original game, including released add-ons, at the same introducing new tracks and characters, such as Inkling Girl, Inkling Boy, King Boo, Dry Bones, or Bowser Jr.

A sequel to a critically acclaimed 2009's adventure game developed by Daedalic Entertainment. The player assumes the role of a sixteen-year-old boy called Noah, who has been searching for the sister he lost during a war. Following her, the protagonist enters the world of dreams known as Silence, where he puts on the costume of a clown by the name of Sadwick - the protagonist of the original game. It turns out that even the magical land is being torn apart by a war. Noah joins a group of rebels fighting the mysterious False Queen. It is an introduction to a fantastic journey filled with secrets and deeply moving moments. The game is based on mechanics of the classic point-and-click adventure titles, supplementing the formula with several innovative features. The largest noticeable difference between the sequel and the original game marked by the fact that Silence: The Whispered World 2 features three-dimensional visuals, offering a fairytale-like atmosphere.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is an episodic adventure game developed by Telltale Games. The game is based on a comic book series from Marvel, and tells the story of the titular Guardians of the Galaxy. Unlike the classic superhero team ups, this group is made of outcasts and outlaws, and their humor-filled adventures take place in far reaches of the universe. Like in other games from Telltale, the gameplay in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is based on exploration, dialogues, and, most importantly, on making decisions that influence the course of the plot. Our choices influence not only the current episode we are playing, but also the following ones.
